The food served at Cedar Springs offers the body a physical and spiritual renewing experience. Only whole, organic fresh foods are served. These are the kinds of foods that give the body what it needs to cleanse and renew, from the inside out. In the facility's "raw" kitchen, delicious, nutritious soups, fresh juices, tasty crackers and breads are made daily... yes, the breads and crackers are all made without baking. The menu includes sumptuous deserts, made using nuts, coconut, dates, and fruit—all organic, of course—all sin-free (well, maybe), because they are so healthful.
"My appreciation for live foods stems back to when I was a kid. Summers were spent visiting family friends who lived on small, organic farm in the countryside of northern California. Although healthy meals were served 3 times a day, and there was no ongoing snacking or "grazing" allowed in the house. However, I was free to roam the farm and gather, pick, or pull out of the ground anything I desired and munch to my heart's content. Little did I realize that these live, whole foods were good for me and would establish a diet lifestyle that supports my good health still today." Howard
The menus at Cedar Springs are built on the understanding that the unseen energy in living foods supports the body's innate life-force. Therefore, eating a diet of mainly raw, living foods helps to bring more life-force into the body. When you combine living foods and exercise such as equine-integrated movement, yoga, dance, and tai chi, it opens body meridians for this natural energetic flow to increase.
